Known for her distinctive approach to metalwork, Goor transforms utilitarian structure into expressive sculpture—an ethos clearly present in this striking example. The hand-forged iron frame features a rich, dark patina with intentionally textured surfaces that celebrate the artisanal process. The linear upper rail is softened by a rhythmic series of curved vertical elements, while the base is anchored by cylindrical legs and an elegant cross-stretcher. At its center, a circular forged motif is joined by a small perched bird—an unmistakable hallmark of Goor’s work, where subtle figural elements introduce narrative and whimsy into otherwise architectural forms. The substantial beveled glass top appears to float above the base, allowing full visibility of the sculptural ironwork beneath.
