This exceptional antique mahogany spinet desk features a classic conversion-style design, showcasing a rich, deep reddish-brown finish with a highly polished sheen. The upper body is configured with a multi-hinged protective lid—secured by a full-width solid brass piano hinge and a dual-hinged fold-up rear panel—that opens completely to reveal a beautifully fitted interior gallery. This recessed workspace boasts a seamless, heavy-duty slide-out surface equipped with integrated routed oval finger pulls, extending forward into a wide, stable desktop. The interior organization includes four open mail-sorting cubbies, two miniature flank drawers with turned button knobs, and unique side-facing open storage shelves built right into the inner side walls. Adding to its exceptional functionality, the front apron features a single wide hidden storage drawer disguised as a dual-drawer facade that pulls out to reveal two spacious internal compartments.
