A C R O T E R I O N is pleased to offer this exceptionally fine and unusual circa 1825 English regency, George IV period, solid oak and burr walnut veneer library writing table of good size and rectangular form, the original vibrant green gilt-embossed leather top surrounded by burr veneers and finely carved 'egg-and-dart' edges above front freeze with three locking burr veneered cock-beaded drawers with original turned knobs and carved 'bead-and-reel' variant bottom edge border raised upon turned and reeded 'Grecian' legs on original brass castors. Leg clearance from floor to bottom of underside is 23.5". Provenance: Private Vermont collection.
