This extraordinary desk showcases the excellent taste in form and material use, featuring solid walnut wood with beautiful grain and a warm tone that give it an elegant appearance. On the he top there is an elegant inlaid walnut rim, instead the drawers are beatifully underlined by a gilded one. Under the top there are two removable shelves opening on the front. The main feature of this magnificent desk is the possibility of being used in the center of the room, showing its best even in the back, having it perfectly finished, something that was not obvious for furniture of the same era. Resting on tapered legs, this statuary desk attains an airly, elegant quality. This masterpiece hails from the Mid-18th Century and was created by the Master Venetian cabinetmakers. A remarkable almost 400 year old Spanish table, the table is carved on all sides so it is able to float in a room, the substantial top having an overhang at each side. To the front are two large drawers that are deeply carved with diamond lozenges and fitted with the original hand-forged iron pulls. The table is carved on all the other sides with corresponding diamond lozenge carved designs. The table is raised on spiral turned baluster shaped legs and joined with a stretcher at each side, the table is raised on compressed circular bun feet.
