About the Item

An elegant Queen Anne-style Davenport desk in burl walnut veneer, made in the first half of the 20th century. This refined piece captivates with the quality of its veneer, its elegant lines, and its particularly functional interior layout. The top opens via two side flaps that expand the work surface. In the center, an elegant brown leather-covered panel provides a comfortable writing surface. The upper section features a compartmentalized mail tray, ideal for storing letters and documents. The front consists of six drawers and a central compartment closed by a door. The brass handles and keyholes harmonize perfectly with the superb burl walnut veneer, whose rich, warm grain highlights the elegance of this piece. The piece rests on four delicately carved, curved Queen Anne-style legs, lending finesse and lightness to its silhouette. Dimensions: Height: 74 cm Width: 45 cm Depth: 47 cm In very good overall condition. Beautiful original patina. Slight signs of wear consistent with its age.
