About the Item

Monumental Italian table base dating from the 1970s, crafted in solid bronze with an exceptional sculptural design inspired by agave leaves and organic botanical forms. Extremely heavy and likely produced as a unique piece or bespoke commission, this remarkable base embodies the dramatic and expressive aesthetic of high-end Italian design from the period. The work features a richly textured bronze structure with layered agave-style foliage creating a powerful architectural presence. The original table once supported a large marble top, which is no longer present. The sale therefore includes the bronze base and its metal supporting structure only. A new marble top will need to be sourced or custom-made by the future owner, offering the opportunity to personalize the final appearance while preserving the integrity of the original design.
