About the Item

An exceptional satinwood and mahogany figured Pembroke table of small and low proportions. The crossbanded rounded rectangular top has a pair of fall leaves with a central figured mahogany field. Each leave has a single satinwood support beneath the surface of the table. The table is supported by four square gently tapering legs finished on brass square cup castors. In superb condition and certainly the leader of the field in quality and poise. English, circa 1820.
