Striking Italian Renaissance–style table featuring a dramatic sculptural base composed of cast iron and gilt elements formed as crossed Arabian scimitar swords. The boldly theatrical base rests on a richly textured cast iron plinth with claw feet, while twisted iron columns rise upward to support the top, creating a composition that is both architectural and highly decorative. The sweeping gilt sword forms create an impressive sense of movement and symmetry, referencing romanticized Middle Eastern motifs that were popular in European revival furniture of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
