Side table hand-made in Spain in the early 1700s using walnut. This little table is a stunner, both because of its proportions as well as the wood. OMG, the look and feel of old old old walnut that has survived centuries, there is nothing like it. I have to give it to the Spanish, nobody built tables like they did: they are gorgeous, and sturdy, and practical, and I just love them. Going back to this little guy. The top is made of one single, thick board pegged to the legs and apron. The apron is decorated on all sides by hand-made raised carvings and molding showing geometrical shapes. On the front we find a single inset drawer, also decorated like the rest of the apron. The legs are hand-turned and connected with a scalloped box...
