The triple-fold shaped hinged and eared top opening to a green baize-lined playing surface with money wells and candlestands first and a decorated writing surface second, the writing surface revealing a pop-up compartment with ratcheted book support and fitted with drawers and pigeonholes, above a frieze raised on cabriole legs ending in pad feet.
