Late 19th Century Steel and Brass French Pastry Table with Marble Top by J. Mareschal, Paris. This charming table was designed for use in patisseries where marble tops were favored for their cool surface--ideal for rolling dough and working with pastry. The base is hand-forged wrought iron in a classic scrolled form, painted white with touches of natural wear and age-related patina that evoke its authentic vintage character.
