About the Item

A vintage Italian mid-century modern round occasional table. Italy, circa 1940s, in the manner of legendary Italian modernist architect and designer Ico Parisi, two-tier, featuring a inset circular glass top with etched leaping impala design, rising on elegant sculptural wood base, with three curving c-form tapered legs, joined by medial dished disc-form stretcher shelf. Bold, light, airy design with clean lines, smooth edges, and elegant curves, warm rich dark wood tones, with attractive grain patterns, warmth, depth, and beautifully aged patina. Dimensions: (approx) 18.75" High, 23.25" Diameter As warm and attractive as it is useful, having the ideal small size and proportions for a variety of different uses, including as a chair side table, sofa end table, cocktail drinks table, lamp stand, tiered plant stand, decorative arts pedestal, bedside nightstand, diminutive coffee table, and more. Very good original unrestored vintage condition. Presents well. Sturdy, stable, structurally sound. Retaining vintage character and charm throughout, including scattered scratches to the original glass top, and typical wear consistent with eighty years of age and use. Deliverer cleaned, waxed, ready for immediate use!
