Inspired by the elegant pierced marble “jali” screens and windows he saw in the palaces of Mughal India, the renowned designer Paul Mathieu has created a unique collection of hand-carved side tables. Manufacture: Solid blocks of marble are hollowed out and hand-carved into low elegant tables through which light and air pass with ease. The intricate jali patterns are first traced onto the surface of the stone.
