A skilfully hand-turned and handcrafted oversized version of our Rippled side table, created as a sculptural statement piece that celebrates both the beauty of native timbers and the artistry of traditional woodturning. Constructed from richly figured English elm, the tabletop showcases the timber's distinctive swirling grain, warm colouration, and natural character. Supporting the top is a striking ebonised central column that provides visual contrast and architectural definition, while the signature rippled base is crafted from solid English ash, its flowing contours creating a sense of movement and organic elegance. The design is characterised by its harmonious relationship between form, material, and craftsmanship. The sculpted rippled base appears to rise naturally from the floor, grounding the piece with a strong visual presence, while the contrasting ebonised column creates a refined transition between the upper and lower elements. The result is a table that appears both substantial and graceful from every angle. Each piece is individually handmade in London by our skilled craftsman using traditional turning and woodworking techniques. As a bespoke creation, every table possesses subtle variations that reflect the unique qualities of the timber and the hand of the maker. Finished in highly durable, environmentally friendly oils, the natural beauty of the elm and ash is enhanced while providing lasting protection for everyday use. The finish accentuates the depth of the grain and allows the tactile qualities of the timber to be fully appreciated. A substantial and distinctive piece of fine furniture, designed to function equally well as a side table, end table, or sculptural accent within both contemporary and traditional interiors. Alternative timber species may be available upon request, subject to suitability and availability. We design bold and distinctive pieces of furniture – our main objective is combining the design alongside the natural beauty and properties of the raw materials. These timbers and materials are very carefully chosen for each specific design - maintaining our focus on the benefits, visual impact and strengths of what we use. By utilising these wonderful and naturally occurring features with our contemporary designs we aim to continue creating some very distinct, tactile and idiosyncratic pieces. These are all completely handmade, in very small numbers, by our skilled craftspeople in England.
