About the Item

Elegant Louis XVI style writing table crafted in walnut, dating from the mid-20th century and inspired by late 18th-century French design. The table features clean neoclassical lines supported by four slender sheathed legs terminating in bronze sabots, connected by a shaped lower shelf that adds both stability and refinement. The rectangular top is bordered in brass and inset with Havana-colored leather, decorated with subtle gold tooling that enhances its formal character while providing a practical writing surface. A single front drawer opens smoothly and retains its working lock and key. Fine bronze mounts and brass scrapers accent the uprights, reinforcing the restrained sophistication typical of Louis XVI revival furniture. Well balanced in proportion, this piece functions equally well as a writing desk, side table, or refined accent within a study or living space.
