About the Item

Small table hand-crafted in Italy in the mid 1700s using walnut. This table is an absolutely stunning antique piece with typical Italian lines and decorations. The top is made of a single walnut board with beautiful grain and its thickness gives harmonious balance to the piece. Below the top, the table features a single, inset drawer on the front decorated by beautiful symmetrical floral carvings. The drawer also features large, hand-made dovetail joints with hand-wrought rose head nails. The legs are hand-turned and connected via a box stretcher. The table still sits on its original bun feet. This is a gorgeous small table packed with a lot of character. Its top has scuff marks, chips, and has been repaired at some point in the past, but all of these signs of use blend in perfectly giving it that lived, but still refined, look that only a true, beautiful antique can have. Its deep color exhumes warmth and history, and the table will look stunning anywhere it is placed.
