Two men with a cab or the Sedan chair, in the style of Touzé. Bears collector's stamp (possibly the eye-form mark of Nathaniel Hone) and inscribed indistinctly (lr) Black ink and gray wash on paper One of the only known drawing by Chardin, in the Tessin collection. is a similar composition, albeit different stylistically; that drawing was a study for a sign (no longer in existence) Chardin had done at the beginning of his career for a surgeon.
