Circa, Late 20th Century. Sometimes just admiring a fine piece of art can transform you into different places in time. This piece does that for me… I see myself, my husband, and three little boys out for an afternoon of fishing, picnicking, and enjoying nature. I’m watching them from a blanket on the bank yearning for time to stand still. Two of them are fishing off the bank as their dad tries to patiently keep up with helping them bait their hooks, untangle the lines, and keep them from falling in the oh-so-tempting wet-ness! Their toes squish in the mud as they tease with the edge of the water and they cast their lines impatiently in and out as they aren’t getting the bites from the fish they so hope for. (Probably due to all that giggling!!) The youngest has joyfully befriended a fabulous frog he found while rummaging through a patch of weeds and soon I will have to convince him that his wonderful friend is best left here, at his home in nature, while I make sure he doesn’t sneak him home in his pocket. I soak this day, this moment into my heart. When I glance past everything beautiful in front me and stare into the distance, I see a phenomenal gift that has been given to us all within this earth. Incredible trees, distant hills covered in beautiful brushes in fantastic colors kissed by the sun, and a river running between two sides of land, beyond a stone bridge that connects both sides. It brings me peace knowing there is something bigger out there. There has to be. Moments like these go by too quickly and we don’t often appreciate what we have right in front of us, until they are past. Aren’t we lucky to have the gift of our imagination? … AND a magnificent piece of art like this to help transport our thoughts? We certainly think so. This is an absolutely STUNNING oil painting on canvas signed by artist Henry Kim. Unfortunately, after extensive research we haven’t found any information to attribute to the artist, however, we know they had incredible attention to detail and highly skilled expertise in oil on canvas. The image is vertically placed and matted & framed in a gorgeous gilded wood ornate frame and at 53 ½ x 43 ½ … it is MONUMENTAL in size! It will be marvelous in an entry way, above your bed in the master bedroom, on the wall in your living or family room, or in your dining area on a large wall. Anywhere in your home that could use a splash of Impressionist style bearing wonderful colors, a spectacular scenic view, and a Big, Bold statement! There’s GOLD in this here shop!!!! LOL!!! Anyone remember Looney Tunes… Yosemite Sam?? Ok, maybe I just dated myself… Oh Well!!! LOL… This is a STUNNING mixed media wall art collage signed & titled “Gold Rush.” It is a large scale or monumental piece bearing the Kinder-Harris Art label which indicates that it was done before Kinder-Harris was sold to JC Penny Company in 1992. It is signed however… we just can’t make it out! We have researched, messaged, & emailed but to no avail. Kind of looks like Rita Millat… kind of looks like R. Millat… (Robert?) Or… could be a P… or an N… (SIGH) Fancy signatures!! Anyway, since we can’t locate the artist we are selling this magnificent piece for its intrinsic decorative value and is priced as such. It presents attractive abstract elements beautifully composed of textured & torn paper, fabric, threads, paint, & metallic gold & copper details. It is triple matted bearing a thin gold inside edge & it’s encased in a superbly simple gilded wood frame. Talk about a GOLDEN TREASURE!!!!! And the wonderful concept of abstract art is that the perception of the piece is left to the imagination of the viewer! It is Contemporary in style and it will be gorgeous among your Art Deco Revival, Hollywood Regency, or Modern décor whether on a wall along a stairway, in an entry, in the master bedroom above your bed, in your living or family room, or mounted on a sizeable wall in your dining area. This breath-taking piece is full of fantastic colors, extraordinary textures, and exudes a fascinating abstract presence you are sure to love for years to come. Watercolor Winter Farm Landscape Signed by G. Russell Case 1985 Framed

Watercolor Winter Farm Landscape Signed by G. Russell Case 1985 Framed

Located in Topeka, KS

Marvelous vintage 1985 watercolor landscape winter farm scene signed by G. Russell Case with gray matte & aluminum frame. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, no outstanding flaws detected. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1985. Words cannot describe that feeling when you find the perfect piece of art… and here we are, SPEECHLESS!!! This is an absolutely STUNNING watercolor of a winter farm landscape signed by G. Russell Case surrounded by a lovely gray matte and housed in a fabulous aluminum frame. It bears gorgeous colors of both dark & light blue, white, yellows, and browns. It is ready to ascend on ANY wall of your home that needs a magnificent, realistic art piece with incredible attention to detail. It is a snowy winter scene on a desolate farm that appears to be deserted... or possibly a comforting shelter to a few wilderness creatures trying to hunker down from the brisk breeze of the frosty winter air. Dark shadows of distant mountains boldly stand behind aged and broken utility poles and power lines that possibly once served the abandoned building. A ray of mid-day sunlight enhances a fractured white picket fence that lines the property above the glistening, snow covered ground. And a patch of brush and boulders peek through melted spaces where the sun kissed their peaks while tiny, scattered footprints have broken through the blanket of snow from wildlife scavenging the ground for a morsel. Breath-taking and bitterly cold but also breathtakingly beautiful… Was it a harsh winter and someone will return in warmer climate or is this the remnant of what was once a prosperous farm now vacant and meant to be admired by passersby? There is beauty to be found in what your imagination believes it to be… what could be… and what once was. This painting says that to me… What does it say to you? Russell Case was born in 1966 in Brigham City, Utah and he studied at Utah State University where he intended to become a professor of art. He graduated in 1990 but decided to pursue painting full-time. His father, Gary Case was also an artist and encouraged his son’s art career. His art is inspired by nature and idealized versions of western landscapes combining the beauty of the natural world with his deep imagination and mental originalities. Case’s work is typically of landscapes… simple, fresh, and pure. He is represented by several Western galleries and has won numerous awards including Best of Show, The Golden Thunderbird, and the Edith Hamlin...
