The category antique paintings, Landscape Paintings , proposed here is an oil painting on canvas, from the 1800s.  This is an old painting, from the 19th century, depicting a natural landscape, made with great sensitivity pictorial and attention to detail. The scene depicts an idyllic river landscape, with a flowing brook gently among ancient trees, rocks and lush vegetation, bathed in a warm and atmospheric light typical of the romantic painting of the 19th century. The work, characterized by harmonious colors and soft brushstrokes, conveys a strong sense of stillness and naturalism, evoking the pristine beauty of the nineteenth-century countryside. In the foreground and along the path bordering the stream a few washerwomen stand out, caught in a moment of daily work. The work is an oil painting that bears a gilded frame in pure gold leaf, original and coeval to the antique painting. These are 19th-century antique paintings, work signed at lower right Lortet, French landscape painter.   Leberecht Lortet (1828-1901), was born to French parents in Heidelberg, Germany, but lived for a long time in Lyon, France. A pupil of Alexandre Calame in Geneva, he exhibited from 1858 at the "Salon de Lyon" and then from 1859 to 1870 at the "Salon Des Artistes Français." He loves to paint Mountain landscape paintings and studies the effect of light on lake water and rocks, as seen in this proposed work.
