About the Item

An original platinum photograph on textured paper by iconic American photographer Edward Curtis titled "The Piki Maker" The photograph is hand-signed in ink, blind-stamped with Curtis' embossed studio copyright stamp, and dated 1906. It also has the negative number "x1969-06" printed on the lower left edge. Curtis' original Los Angeles Times obituary from October 20, 1952 (Curtis died on October 19th in Los Angeles) has been attached to the verso of the frame. Photo dimensions: 8 x 6 Framed dimensions: 13.5" high, 11.5" wide, 1" deep.
