Antique print titled 'La Boëte de Pandore (..)'. This print depicts Pandora's Box. Pandora's box refers to the container jar (pithos) opened by the Greek mythological woman Pandora releasing all the evils of mankind into the world. Pandora was the first women. This print originates from 'Tafereel, of Beschryving van den prachtigen Tempel der Zang-Godinnen' by B. Picart. Artists and Engravers: Published by H. Chatelain, Amsterdam. Condition: Very good, please study image carefully. Date: 1733 Overall size: 22.5 x 42 cm. Image size: 25 x 34.5 cm.
