About the Item

Collection of nine 20th Century Swedish engravings of cuckoos. The Von Wright ducks are by the Finnish artists Magnus von Wright (1805 - 1868) and Wilhelm von Wright (1810 - 1887) who were well known in the 1800s as both artists and ornithologists. They captured details and colours not previously seen. These colourful chromolithographs were produced around 1920 by the Swedish lithographer A. Bortzells of Stockholm. These beautiful engravings are presented in complimentary frame.
