King George III Coronation Portrait Engraving, Corbould Milton Description: A striking and highly decorative engraved portrait of King George III (1738–1820), depicted in full coronation regalia during the early years of his reign. This finely executed engraving captures the British monarch seated in a position of authority, holding a sceptre while the Imperial State Crown rests prominently beside him—symbols of royal power and sovereignty. The composition is rich in detail, presenting George III draped in elaborate ermine-lined coronation robes and adorned with the insignia of the Order of the Garter.
