**Lithograph by Henri Rivière – *Les Aspects de la Nature – La Mer* – A5595** This lithograph titled **“Les Aspects de la Nature – La Mer”** is signed by Henri Rivière at the lower left. The work is authentic and antique. Regarding the condition, please note small tears in the margins (from 0.2 to 1.4 cm), small stains, and ink marks. On the lithograph itself, there is some soiling in the sky and a few small stains. The colors remain very fresh; once framed, most of the imperfections will be barely visible. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864–1951) was a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then engraving, particularly **etching**, in 1882. At the same time, he pursued a career as a stage director and scenographer. In 1886 he worked on **shadow theatre at the cabaret Le Chat Noir**, where he improved the shows by creating innovative colored stage sets. He later devoted himself entirely to painting and printmaking and became an important figure in the history of **etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor** (he produced around one thousand watercolors).
