About the Item

Thomas Gleb, pseudonym of Yehouda Chaim Kalman (1912-1991) was a French painter, sculptor and textile artist of Polish origin. The "pafilage" technique has been invented by Gleb himself who tears the paper into different parts and recomposes them in a collage technique. This highly manual process makes every "pafilage" even if part of a series of multiples a unique piece.
