About the Item

Lucie III by Patrice, a signed limited edition figurative nude print numbered 5 from an edition of 295. The study shows a female nude seen from behind with her arms raised above her head, drawn in sepia, warm brown and white against a softly worked neutral ground. The modelling is carried almost entirely in tone. The line of the back and shoulders is lifted in white against the deeper browns around it, the hair falls loose to one side, and the surrounding ground is left finely textured rather than filled in. The sheet carries a deckle edge, which the framer has left visible. The work is float mounted over a second mount with a fine grey bevel, glazed, and set in a distressed gilt and black wooden frame. The medium is therefore given as a limited edition print rather than as a named process. Condition Report In very good pre-owned condition. Presents well behind glass, with the printed surface, signature, title, edition number and embossed stamp clearly visible. The frame carries an intentionally distressed gilt and dark painted finish, with light surface wear consistent with previous display.
