We have for sale this fantastic and I would say quite a rare and fine framed needlework depicting a scene from Epsom Race Course, United Kingdom. This fabulous silk work of art dates to around 1900. The late Victorian, early Edwardian period. The work within this silk picture is like a fine painting in its detail, with thousands of individual stitches creating this epic scene. This is the best example of its type that I have ever seen and must have taken years to produce with its meticulous detail. The condition is very good, and the silks have retained good colour with very little fading. The picture is presented in its original late 19th century decorative wood and gesso frame, which is in good condition with some minor repairs and refinishing. English circa 1900 This would make a wonderful addition for the collector of equestrian or horse riding antiques.
