A round swarm of butterflies as delicate as lace in white bronze, lost wax cast by master craftsmen in Italy. A wall sculpture for both indoor and outdoor use. This listing is for the white bronze version, for the blackened bronze version, please see the dedicated listings. Also available in bronze or brass. Standard diameter 60 cm / 23 1/4 inch. We can also craft this piece with a custom diameter and/or finish. About Fred&Juul: Fred&Juul was founded by Italian-Dutch architects’ duo Federico Minarelli and Julie Janssen. Based in Florence, Italy, they design statement pieces that are developed with and then produced by local artisans, who are highly specialized in a specific material. Guided by their architectural sensibility and love for nature, the material's possibilities and properties are explored until a shape or detail emerges, which is developed until the piece is completely defined. The result is that the shape highlights the material and viceversa, while the detail captures their essence: the mottled, grainy surface of the brass star-shaped Raffaele light; the juxtaposed Oak grains in the marquetry of the chubby Sally table; the intricate cast brass butterflies of the Johnnie sconce; the Travertine’s edges of the Lily credenza that seem to curl; the enchanting effect of the colored translucent Itzel tables overlapping; …
