About the Item

Unusual Castlecliff sterling paste and faux pearl bracelet in the Edwardian style. Small size. Length 6". clasp 1.25" x 2.50". USA 1950's. Founded in 1918 by Clifford Furst & Joseph Bobley; Furst died in 1958. Began marking their jewelry in 1941 after a court battle with Brier MFG. Co. over design patents. Castlecliff manufactured their own jewelry. Jeweler's Circular lists Castlecliff in 1977 as part of the Carnegie Industries Co. Late 1980's company was taken over by Lucien Piccard Industries which included Pierre Cardin.
