About the Item

A stunning Vendome crystal and pearl collar necklace, with matching wrap bracelet, circa 1950s. Vendome are famous for their sumptuous collections and creations and Vendome pieces such as this without doubt exude elegance and class and brought a level of french-chic to the American costume jewellery scene. This fabulous two piece set features layers of tumbling drop faux pearls and aurora borealis crystal, hanging from a double row of faux pearl giving a delicate whilst dramatic look. Silver filigree caps plentifully adorn the pearl and crystal drops showing the beautiful attention to detail typical in the creation of Vendome pieces. The collar drop of crystal and faux pearls is wonderfully deep creating a very substantial necklace. The bracelet also has a wonderful style featuring a wraparound bracelet with cascading faux pearl and crystals drops to finish. The necklace features a lovely extender chain incorporating the signature Vendome flower and the hook fastener is also signed Vendome. The bracelet is in overall excellent vintage condition. The necklace drop measures approximately XXcm at its deepest point and the necklace is approx XXcm long with an extender chain of approx. XXcm. The bracelet measures approx. XXcm long and is flexible to fit a small to medium size wrist. It would of course accommodate a larger wrist however there would be less of a wrap effect. A truly stunning example of a Vendome creation from the 1950s and a perfect piece of jewellery for any occasion including bridal.
