The ‘pendeloque’ earrings, developed around the 1770s, composed of a round or oval-shaped top suspending a matching larger drop surmounted by a delicate bow. This popular type of earrings were longer and lighter than the ‘girandole’ motif, which rendered it more complimentary to the fashionably high coiffures and extravagant wigs worn during the latter half of the century. These stunning pair of the glamorous Georgian style pendeloque earrings are a spectacular wearable piece of art. Hardly found in the market of this type, they really express the fashion in vogue during the last quarter of the 18th century in the wealthy society.
