Art Deco Diamond Pendant with Flowing Ornamental Design Circa 1920s–1930s This elegant pendant is an authentic Art Deco jewel, executed in a refined flowing, ornamental Deco style. While Art Deco is often associated with strict geometry, this piece belongs to the curvilinear branch of the movement, where symmetry and structure are softened by graceful, decorative line work. Crafted in 18K white gold, the pendant is designed as a vertically oriented, symmetrical openwork form. The silhouette is elongated and gently tapered, with a balanced mirror-image composition from left to right. The design is built from interlacing scrolls and curved elements, creating a light, lace-like structure with open negative space throughout. Old cut diamonds are set along the contours of the metalwork, following the curves rather than forming rigid lines. The diamonds are evenly distributed, outlining the scrolls and accenting key intersections within the design. Several diamonds act as visual anchors at the center, adding depth and hierarchy to the composition. The lower section narrows into a short vertical element that terminates in a single articulated diamond drop, which moves freely and adds subtle motion when worn. The bail is slender and elongated, also diamond-set, and integrates seamlessly into the upper design, allowing the pendant to hang straight and centered on the chain.
