White Diamond Scattered 24K Keum-boo Gold Leaf Five Bar Spark Pendant Hand forged one-of-a-kind by Jared Porter Studio out of Beautiful Colorado. Sterling Silver with a Patina (oxidized) finish. Adjustable 16" and 18" gold-filled cable chain 5 - 1.5mm white diamonds 4 - 1.3mm white diamonds .145 total carat weight Keum-boo (also Geumbu, Kum-Boo or Kum-bu—Korean "attached gold") is an ancient Korean gilding technique used to apply thin sheets of gold to silver, to make silver-gilt. Traditionally, this technique is accomplished by first depleting a surface of sterling silver to bring up a thin layer of fine silver. Then 24 carat gold foil is applied with heat and pressure—mechanical gilding—to produce a permanent diffusion bond. What is gold-filled? While the appeal of gold is universal and timeless, adding solid karat gold to your line can require a large investment. Gold-filled metals allow you to incorporate the classic look of yellow and rose gold into your jewelry while keeping your designs affordable.
