About the Item

An authentic Byzantine Empire bronze "K" coin (circa 550 to 650 AD), set in a custom rounded 925 sterling silver pendant with ball accent details about the bezel and bail. These middle age Byzantine denominationally marked bronze coins were the standard of the Byzantine world for nearly three centuries. The "K" on the coin representing a half follis with Greek numeral K for 20 nummi. This coin has been inspected and approved to be authentic by a professional Numismatic who specializes in ancient coinage. This coin pendant measures approximately 1 7/8" tall (including bail), 1 7/16" diameter and 1/8" deep at coin/bezel and 1/4" at bail. Chain is for display purposes only.
