About the Item

An original antique jewellery box retailed by Bond & Hedge, Art Jewellers, Clock House, High Street, Putney, as printed to the interior lid. Dating to the late 19th to early 20th century, the box is finished in a mottled brown leatherette exterior with gilt detailing. The interior is lined in cream fabric to the lid and cream velvet to the base, suitable for housing a brooch or pendant. A genuine period example, appropriate for collectors of jewellery ephemera or for use with an antique jewel. Dimensions5.5 x 5.2 x 2.3 cm Condition:Very good antique condition consistent with age. Light, expected wear only. Interior intact. Hinge and clasp function correctly.
