This is an extraordinary Russian Art Nouveau, Belle Epoque Old Mine Cut Diamond Ring in a stunning and very rare Flower motif of great beauty. The Old Mine Cut Diamonds are set in Silver atop 14 Karat Gold as was the custom of the period in order to maximize the brilliance of the diamonds. The Old Mine Diamonds sparkle with the radiance and brilliant white color of the fabulous antique diamonds. The Russian Art Nouveau rings have the most wonderful unique shapes and designs. I just love them. This is one of the most beautiful with the diamonds set in an open work curving flower and leaf motif. These pieces require artisans of the highest quality to create the jewels and the Russian empire cultivated these extraordinary artisans. The Art Nouveau jewels found their inspiration in the curving forms of nature. This jewel is a delicate, romantic masterpiece of the Art Nouveau period. It is rare to find Art Nouveau rings set throughout with Diamonds and we are thrilled to have found this gorgeous piece. The ring dates to circa 1860 - 1910. The ring is a spectacular antique engagement or wedding ring, cocktail ring or a treasure to be worn every day. The ring has 20 Old Mine Cut Diamonds. The top of the ring is 1 inch (26mm) long and the flower portion is 12mm wide. The ring is currently a size 6.25 US (M UK) and can be easily resized if desired. The ring weighs 4 grams.
