Leitão & Irmão Mid-Century Emerald and Diamond Platinum Cocktail Ring, Portugal, 1950s–1960s, in Original Case.
A striking mid-century cocktail ring by Leitão & Irmão, the historic Portuguese jeweller to the Royal House, masterfully blending vivid emeralds with a scintillating diamond ensemble.
The design centres on a round brilliant-cut diamond with approximately 1.20 carats, framed by a pair of square emerald-cut emeralds of deep, saturated green, weighing an estimated 2.00 carats in total. The trio is encircled by a dynamic halo of twenty marquise brilliant-cut diamonds, together weighing around 2.40 carats, their precise arrangement radiating brilliance from every angle.
Exquisitely crafted in platinum and bearing the Lisbon hallmark (1938–1984) for platinum 500, as well as the maker’s mark for Leitão & Irmão, this jewel embodies the refined glamour of the 1950s–60s era — a time when bold form met impeccable craftsmanship.
Presented in its original red leather fitted case, stamped “Leitão & Irmão, Antigos Joalheiros da Coroa, Lisboa”, this piece is a rare survivor of Portugal’s mid-century haute joaillerie.
