Vintage 1940s Diamond and Yellow Gold Solitaire Engagement Ring

A fine and impressive vintage French 0.49 carat diamond and 18k yellow gold, platinum set solitaire ring; part our vintage jewelry/estate jewelry collections. This impressive vintage solitaire engagement ring has been crafted in 18k yellow gold with a platinum setting. The 0.49 carat Old European round cut diamond is held in relief in a eight claw / prong pierced decorated, elevated basket setting embellished with a fluted border. The bifurcating elevated, pierced decorated ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain 18k yellow gold hallmarked shank. The exterior of the shank is clearly hallmarked with the French eagle's head and dog's head. This vintage solitaire engagement ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate. Condition This 1940s engagement ring is fine quality set with a very high color graded old cut diamond. The vintage solitaire ring is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition with clear French hallmarks to the exterior of the shank. An impressive vintage 1940s 0.22 carat diamond and 18 karat yellow gold, 18 karat white gold set solitaire ring; part of our diverse diamond jewelry collections. This fine and impressive vintage solitaire engagement ring has been crafted in 18k yellow gold with an 18k white gold setting. The pierced decorated, fluted setting displays a feature 0.22Ct Old European round cut diamond, eight claw set in relief. The elevated, pierced decorated ring shoulders taper and integrate with the main setting, joining the 18k yellow gold shank at a subtle cuff design. The ring has been engraved to the interior of the shank with 'Dis aan / Avaris 22.9.46'.
