Antique 19th-century 10kt. pink gold men's large-sized intaglio ring with a carved amethyst, featuring the God Helios. The shoulders of the ring's shank are nicely decorated with two different face masks.
Made in Europe, Circa 1890's

The earth is scorched, and to prevent further disaster, Zeus strikes Phaeton down with a lightning bolt. Helios is left grief-stricken by the loss of his son.
