About the Item

Antique Russian Basket in solid 84 Silver in Empire style, fire-gilt with cast decorations, in perfect condition after 185 years of existence Measures: 13 cm long x 10 cm wide x 14.5 cm high with handle upright , 7cm x 6 cm at base level. Weight: 140 grams. Period : Reign of Russian Emperor Nicholas I ( 1825 – 1855). Hallmarked with a full set of period Russian hallmarks: hand-made and assayed in 1840 in the city of Moscow. Maker's hallmarks not clear. Control hallmarks НЛ / Дубровин Николай Лукич/ Dubrovin Nikolay Luckich, assayer in Moscow between 1822- 1855. The same hallmarks can be found on the handle, bowl, and stand parts. Excellent condition,minor scratches only ,no repairs.
