Katarzyna Szydlowska studied at the European Academy of Arts under prof. Jerzy Duda Gracz, Antoni Fałat and Franciszek Starowieyski. She received her diploma in 1998. The artist is fascinated with women and their beauty, sensuality and grace constitute the major topic of Szydlowska’s paintings. Her works are subtle and romantic with a dose of nostalgia.

In my latest work from the 'Thoughts' series, titled 'Serenity of Essence', I once again delve into the profound world of feminine reflections. On this 60x80 cm canvas, painted with acrylics, I depicted a seated young woman with a cat resting beside her. This image creates an atmosphere of tranquility and deep contemplation, characteristic of my series. The background of the painting reveals a view of hills and trees, the leaves of which are adorned with ornaments, adding sophistication to the composition. The symbol of infinity on the woman's shoulder is not just decorative; it symbolizes the endlessness of existence and unity with nature.
