Edition: 1 of 6 Created in 1998 24 x 15,5 x 15,5 Upon his arrival in Paris in 1957, Adami befriended the sculptors Collamarini and Renato Ischia at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, and met Ossip Zadkine at the Grande Chaumière, from whom he gained certain visions of sculpture. His great technical mastery and his vigorous temperament allow Franco ADAMI to work tirelessly on his half-human, half-animal forms, blending civilizations while maintaining his refined sense of quasi-mechanical forms-- hence creating a bridge between the past and the future-- with constant reference to the human condition. Franco ADAMI is undeniably part of the global artistic landscape today with a very personal oeuvre of sculpture that can range from intimate to monumental. Franco ADAMI lives and works between Paris and the Tuscan city of Pietrasanta to create his works of marble and cast bronze.
