A large majolica apothecary jar for essence of basil with rose, forget-me-nots, and morning glory decoration.

Great looking very large pair of French made white ceramic lidded apothecary jars.

The Albarello is inspired by medicinal jars used to hold apothecaries’ ointments and dry drugs. Its shape made it easier to store on apothecary shelves.

This is an antique mortar and pestle. An English, ceramic and beech apothecary or cookery aid, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

The ceramic jars are further embellished with hand written medecine words; "Pom Nervi", "Adeps Lanae", "Ham Virg", "Cetac Alb", and "Samb Nigra".
