Candy Machine Yellow belongs to Elizabeth Art Candy’s Fake Candies series, a body of sculptural works inspired by childhood memories, popular culture and the visual language of sweets, toys and collectible objects. This unique sculpture reimagines the classic coin-operated gumball machine as a contemporary Pop Art object constructed from hundreds of individually modeled candy-like elements.
Unlike traditional ceramic sculpture, the work is created entirely from polymer clay, a lightweight and highly durable material that allows the artist to achieve remarkable chromatic richness while maintaining a surprisingly low overall weight.
