Starry, Starry Eyes (George Rodrigue Blue Dog, Signed Lt'd Ed. Print)
By George Rodrigue
Located in New Orleans, LA
(NOTE FROM DEALER: this print has some barely detectable flaws in the surface if you examine it closely. They're hard to find unless looking for them, essentially invisible behind glass; though they do not detract visually, we have reduced the price by $1,000 accordingly ). George Rodrigue's now iconic Blue Dog in all his glory. No need to catch you up on the fame and backstory of these if you're already aware, but if not, there's a lot on the Internet to read. This is a signed artist's proof. Strangely there is no category for "silkscreen" to choose from here, so we had to choose "lithograph," but this is a silkscreen, not a lithograph. This is from an edition of only 175. This print is illustrated in the catalogue raisonne, 1970 - 2007 (New York, Abrams, 2008) p. 54. Again, there are flaws in the surface you have to really look to find (we had to remove the print from the frame to find them and had difficulty photographing them - see photos); we have reduced the price accordingly. Proudly presented by Guy Lyman Fine Art, New Orleans, with our firm guarantee.
