About the Item

An exquisite handbag. Using an original 1920s celluloid frame, a beautiful crafted handbag of a combination of original black and cream silk has been made anew for the bag. The frame is two coloured, with the most charming and striking motif of a polka dotted butterfly, so very 1920s, and made of two coloured thin Bakelite. Piped in cream silk, and beautifully lined, with cream silk and silk flower trim, the bag has been made as the perfect match for the frame, producing an eye catching and magical piece.
