This object is a 19th-century framed Chinese silk embroidered panel titled "Dancing in the Landscape". Crafted during the 19th Century, typical of late Qing Dynasty textile artistry. Hand-stitched silk embroidery on a sage green silk ground, bordered by an intricate geometric woven textile matting. The central scene depicts a joyful group of children (Baizi or "Hundred Boys" motif) playing, dancing, and celebrating amid a traditional garden setting complete with scholar's rocks, blooming flora, and birds.
