About the Item

A charming mid-20th-century English door knocker cast in brass as a watchful owl perched upon a small branch. Textured plumage, deeply modeled eyes, and a stylized foliate crest give the diminutive piece an appealing sculptural quality, while the naturally mellowed surface brings depth to the details. Its petite scale would suit a cottage door, garden entrance, library cabinet, or discreet interior doorway. Against painted timber in deep green, oxblood, or weathered blue, it would introduce a quiet note of English country character without feeling overly themed.
