About the Item

This is a very good Jasperware stoneware small Plant Pot complete with Stand or Under-Plate, Jardiniere or Cache Pot, made by Wedgwood, England and dating to circa 1920s. The pieces are well potted , the Plant Pot having a drainage hole to its base and an everted rim. The pot has a classical figures pattern, the figures being applied as relief moulded white sprigs, against a dark blue matt ground color. The base has a continuous white floral border, applied against the same dark blue ground colour. Both pieces are fully marked to the base with the upper case "WEDGWOOD" impressed mark, which we date to the 1920's period of the first half of the 20th Century, or earlier. Overall a beautiful Wedgwood Jardiniere or Cache Pot.
