About the Item

Named after the Arabic word for “ancient,” the Qadim Bowl is a sculptural vessel defined by its elevated profile, weathered surface, and quiet sense of permanence. Its broad, shallow form rests upon a tapered pedestal, creating a silhouette that feels both architectural and ceremonial. Layers of charcoal-black patina reveal traces of warm earth tones beneath, while abrasions, mineral-like markings, and irregular textures speak to the beauty of age and human touch. Rather than conceal imperfection, the Qadim Bowl celebrates it. Every variation in surface, every worn edge, and every subtle shift in tone contributes to a character that cannot be replicated. Designed as a statement piece yet restrained in its presence, the Qadim Bowl brings a sense of history, materiality, and collected beauty to the spaces it inhabits.
